Chapter 8

The next day, you nervously paced back and forth inside the host club. The dance was only an hour away and you were panicking. SERIOUSLY panicking. You had been too embarrassed to tell anyone, but you had no idea how to dance.

It’s not that you were completely hopeless, you had been to parties before and danced with friends, but this was a whole different experience. You groaned as you plopped into a chair and rubbed your temples.

" (F/n) are you almost ready?!” Tamaki’s cheery voice echoed from the door way.

You looked up and nervously bit your lip. He looked at you and cocked his head.

“What’s wrong?” He asked you.

You exhaled and laughed softly.

“Um.. I don’t really…know how to dance?”

Tamaki’s eyes lit up as he pulled you up and hugged you tightly.

“How cute!” He yelled as he rubbed his cheek on yours. You laughed until he suddenly dropped you, his face darkened. You looked at him confused.

“Tamaki, what’s wrong-“

He looked at you with tears in his eyes.

“You were never showed how to dance?! You couldn’t afford proper lessons could you? Oh, my poor little girl!” He cried as he hugged you. You sighed and patted his head to try to calm him down. Suddenly, he shot up again, a bright smile spread across his face.

“I know! I can teach you myself!” He yelled happily.

You smiled excitedly. “Really?! You’ll really teach me how to dance?” You asked him.

He bowed with his hand extended to you. “It would be my pleasure, princess.” He said in his usual host voice. You laughed and took it as properly as you could to live up to the name.

He held you close while you looked at your feet to follow his steps. Your hand locked in his. You stumbled a bit and fell into his chest. You giggled a bit and looked up at him.

“Sorry, I told you I can’t dance.” His face held a red tint. He started to sweat.

“No problem, you’ll be fine! I think I hear Kyouya calling me!” He panicked as he dropped you and ran out. You sat up and rubbed your lower back.

“Why is everyone so jumpy lately?” You sighed as you laid back down on the floor.

Time skip~

You stepped back into the music room after getting dressed. The twins’ maids had done your hair and makeup after literally dragging you to the prep room. As you stepped in, the boy’s mouths dropped. Hikaru blinked and shook his head.

“Well, at least you don’t look as bad now.”

Haruhi slapped his head as he made his comment. “Shut up! (F/n), you look great.” She smiled.

Kyouya looked you up and down as he peeked his head into the room. He then directed his attention to the others. “I advise that you all hurry, the Valentine’s Day dance will be starting in a few minutes. We wouldn’t want our guests to get there before we do.”

Everyone looked at each other before running to the room where the dance would be held.

You fidgeted with the curl in your hair once more as you stood against the wall waiting for the guests to arrive. Haruhi looked over from her place next to you and gave you a comforting smile. “Don’t worry, you’ll be great.”

You returned her smiled and relaxed a bit. You felt the twins wrap around you.

“Yea, and if you get nervous you can come hang out with us.”

You smiled at them. You were happy you had all your friends here to comfort you. You didn’t know what you would do without them.

After dancing with a few of your guests, you stood by the wall with a glass of water in your hand. Your nerves had all but completely gone away. You scanned the room. Almost all of the hosts were dancing with their guests.
